Washington, AFP. A federal court on Tuesday overturned the Biden government's policy regarding irregular migration along America's southern border. US District Court Judge John Tiger in San Francisco said that the applications made by asylum seekers in the US were illegal.

However, Tiger immediately suspended his decision for 14 days to give the Biden administration time to appeal. The Department of Justice promptly filed a notice of appeal on the matter. The policy could be stuck for several months due to the appeal and the matter could possibly go to the Supreme Court.
