Chinese hackers became the biggest threat to America, put a dent in the email account of US ambassador in Beijing

Washington. Chinese hackers broke into the email account of US Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns to gather intelligence as part of their operation to target senior US government officials. People related to this whole matter told 'CNN' that the hackers also accessed the email account of Daniel Krittenbrink, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia, who recently visited China with Foreign Minister Antony Blinken. This news first came to the fore last week, which clearly shows how much the Chinese hackers have infiltrated the sensitive intelligence information of America.

Chinese hackers have also infiltrated the email of Commerce Minister Gina Raimondo. US officials have consistently described China as America's most dangerous adversary in cyberspace. This is an area which has repeatedly been a cause of tension between the two countries in recent times. The FBI has also said that Beijing has a bigger hacking program than all other governments combined. However, hackers from China have infiltrated the non-secret US government email system. US authorities generally operate with the assumption that anything that is non-confidential can be hacked.

Yet the Biden administration believes the Chinese hacking operation tipped Beijing off about US thinking about Blinken's high-risk trip to China in June. A senior State Department official said Blinken raised the issue of the hacking incident in a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi last week. Last week, when Blinken was asked about the hacking, he did not specify how the US wanted to respond. Blinken said that 'I cannot discuss the details of our response. Apart from this, the most serious thing is that the investigation of this incident is going on.
